WP812

Chinese handset makers can do almost anything these days. Whether they steal technology or invent for themselves is not the point here. I’m just pissed they’ve been making WQVGA screen equipped devices for some time, while most major handset makers still want us to buy phones with standard QVGA screens. Why is that is beyond me…

Anyway, today we present you with the touchscreen-equipped waterproof phone coming from the “world’s fastest growing economy.” As you can see from the image above — and more photos after the jump — the device looks quite simple and it’s hard to say whether I like it or not. It’s one of those objects for which it’s hard to have any feelings at all. On the other hand, it is probably available for under $200 making it extra affordable compared with similar branded devices. In that sense, I can easily imagine the WP812 selling well as a second or even a third phone. Seaside vacation with one of these phones can make your life way much simpler…

Finally I must add I’m a bit sceptic about the WP812′s built quality. In addition, I’ve no idea where you can buy it nor how much it exactly costs. We do, however, have some more photos to show you – keep reading to check them out.
