HTC Star Trek gets Windows Mobile 6.0 ROMDoes anyone still use an HTC Star Trek? It wasn't too long ago that the HTC Star Trek enjoyed some limited time in the limelight, but as things go in the mobile industry, it's already old news. The HTC Star Trek debuted as a Trek-ish flip-phone powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 - among the smallest WinMo smartphones on the market and one of the few flip-phones to rock the WM platform. That seems like so long ago already.

But, old handsets still have their place - it would be a shame to let the HTC Star Trek fade away. So, it's a good thing that the genius ROM-cooks over at xda-developers have cooked up a Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard ROM for the HTC Star Trek. Owners can now freshen up their Star Trek with some of that WinMo6 goodness.

There are different WM6 ROMs available for different versions of the HTC Star Trek, including the Qtek 8500, i-mate Smartflip, and Cingular 3125. Hit up xda and download the ROM that works for you.

Not bad given that you can snatch a used 3125 on eBay for like $140 or less.
