Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 shows AT&T graphic at CeBIT

At this year’s CeBIT in Germany, Sony Ericsson is showing its latest super-baby XPERIA X1. What struck us down is the AT&T’s logo located at the center of menu. What could that possibly mean? Is Swedish-Japanese handset maker trying to indirectly pitch the U.S. based carrier through media? Or the deal is already done and they’re just waiting for X1’s release? Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Still, it’s worth mentioned that AT&T keeps adding various Sony Ericsson devices to its offering and somehow we wouldn’t be surprised to see them carrying one of the coolest Windows Mobile smartphones ever built as well. I’m sure many AT&T users would love that, wouldn’t ya?

…please no. First the N95, and now this. I wonder how ATT will bloat the heck out of this thing -

What are you even talking about? Even as the X1 was announced, it was said to be targeting the US market. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody. Of course SE is going to, at the very least, make an attempt to contract this phone with the US’s largest GSM provider.

But even so it doesn’t matter, as you’ll still be able to get the unbranded version.

In my opinion, the potential AT&T branding is a welcomed sight because now we (ie USA customers) will have more than one option when it comes to purchasing this phone.

And since when did the N95 have anything to do with AT&T? Other than the 850/1900 3G frequency change, the N95-3 is still purely Nokia software.
