Sprint WebCapTel transcribes voice to webpage

Now this is one unique feature that deserves some recognition. Sprint (NYSE: S), always looking for another way to plug the massive leak in subscriber counts, has rolled out a new web-service for the hard-of-hearing. The new WebCapTel service will listen-in on incoming conversations using any Sprint handset and transcribe the convo to a website. The voice-to-text transcription happens in almost-realtime – fast enough so that the user can read the conversation transcript in time to respond to the caller in a flowing manner.

WebCapTel is available now and it’s free. If you have a Sprint phone, give it a try. Now, we just have to find our Sprint phone.
