Chinese distributor purchases $2 Billion worth of Nokia phones for 2008

180×135_20070511_dog5yx5aja4ylnd.jpgChina Postel has committed to purchasing around $2 Billion worth of Nokia products for the year 2008. Assuming an N95 is around $600 that is around 3.33 million units. Not bad. Last year however that number was $2.5 Billion, so … what gives?

    Well last year they buy for 2.5 billion but this order 2 billion dollar is only the start of 2008. The year have 12 months…China Postel is expected to purchase mobile devices valued at approximately USD 2 billion from Nokia in 2008. In addition, both parties have agreed to strengthen strategic ties, especially with regard to channel development, resource investment, and marketing management.

    Lets guess they always buy 5 million phones.

    In 2007, 5 million phones cost 2.5 billion.
    In 2008, 5 million phones cost 2 billion.
