Howard Chui makes nice with MobiTV – Howard Forums is good to go

Well that sure was quick. Just this morning I was worried that one of the largest mobile phone forums would be in for the long legal-haul with the US’s largest mobile TV provider. As you’ll probably recall, Howard Forums’ (HoFo) owner, Howard Chui, was warned by MobiTV’s legal team to take down a post on HoFo that details how to get MobiTV’s live TV streams for free. Mr. Chui was told that if he did not take down the post and effectively censor his users, that MobiTV would be seeking to have HoFo shutdown.
So, what changed from this morning to this evening? It seems that MobiTV’s president, Paul Scanlan, decided to put an end to all the legal-threat nonsense and spoke with Howard mano-a-mano. Scanlan put the blame on his overzealous legal team that wanted to ensure the protection of the content providers’ TV streams. In fact, Scanlan told Mr. Chui that “we couldn’t be more supportive of the rights of sights like yours.”
Now ain’t that a bit of warm-your-heart news? All’s good on the HoFo front. Go about your business…

Probably coz MobiTV figured out how to block unwanted traffic …
