Unsurprisingly they seem to sell out at that level (cheaper than eBay I have been searching on) fairly rapidly!. NB I am not associated with Currys/Dixons in any way , just thought their pricing was messed up and was seriously excited by the prospect of owning my own little eee.... The battery life is NOT great - if you don't need the wifi then it lasts a whole heap longer if you disable it. It has 4GB memory which is fine as my 500 GB drive at home is much bigger than the laptop and I know that all my stuff is safely stored. It is solid state so it can handle the knocks. I was at a conference of 1100 people a few weeks back and once one person saw it everyone wanted to have a hold - next thing it was 20 rows up and I had to get up and chase it to get it back! The best thing is that I don't care what wifi network I connect to - as there is nothing personal on it for anyone else to see. It does get warm, but no warmer than my Macbook. It is great for cafes, taking notes at conferences etc. oh and don't forget that it does have projector out. It doesn't have bluetooth. However, there is plenty of room inside if you wanted to get a USB bluetooth connection and hardwire it in. Apparently a 9inch screen is coming out later this year. It does take a few days to get used to the little keyboard too. I LOVE my EEE PC

I have senstive nerves in my palms, and using a warm keyboard can ruin my typing capabilities for days... I think it's a good think in cold weathers countires, not else... I no longer use my Nokia N800 anymore. Too hard to type on. This is great as a second computer or for those only interested in surfing the web and not playing games.
