Sprint brings GPS and EVDO Rev. A to Sprint Mogul

Did you manage to get up on time today? There’s nothing worse than losing an hour of sleep. That is, unless you have a high-end smartphone in your pocket with a crippled GPS and EVDO Rev. A radio. Well, Sprint Mogul owners are waking up to find that they can now go full-throttle with heir crippled device, courtesy of Sprint (NYSE: S) and HTC.
It’s been a long time coming, and after a previous ROM update leak enabled the GPS hardware, Sprint is finally rolling out the ROM update to bring the EVDO Rev. A radio online. Sprint Mogul users should see Rev. A data speeds in the neighborhood of 600-1400kbps on the downlink and 350-500kbps on the uplink.
For anyone considering a new Sprint Mogul purchase, the $199 Windows Mobile smartphone is shaping up as a great deal. It isn’t going to be winning any beauty contests, but with a healthy dose of EVDO Rev. A and GPS, the Sprint Mogul is sure to please. And, as the first US handset to hit EVDO Rev. A speeds, the Sprint Mogul should prove handy for mobile warriors looking to surf the wireless web.

I am very happy by your interesting conditonal thing
I don’t know about any interesting conditional thing, but if this upgrade is stable and really brings what it claims to the table, all mogul users are pretty psyched.
I’m nervous that it’s only been reported here, though… no offense to this site, but there are several others that I would have expected to have broken it as well. Why the lag?
it’s only good for Vista, not XP
