Telus Visual Voice Mail allows users to read voice mail as text messages

We’ve already talked about SpinVox’s visual voice-to-text voicemail service in the past. Now Canada-based Telus (NYSE: TU) is adding the service to its offering, allowing users to read their voice mail as text messages or email.

TelusAccording to Telus’ official release, users will be able to “see what was said”, hence be more productive while on-the-go. That being said, with the new service mobile workers will be able to retrieve voice mail in settings in which they normally couldn’t – such as meetings, seminars and loud environments. The message includes the caller’s hyperlinked phone number, so users have the option of responding easily. They can also get an audio recording of the message as an attachment.

Telus Visual Voice Mail has a pay-per-use option for business users who want occasional access to voice mail in text format, while frequent users can choose an unlimited monthly subscription. To subscribe, interested users should visit/call their sales contact or a local dealer, calling customer care or adding the feature on mytelusmobility.com.
