Will.i.am’s Dipdive coming to BlackBerry; Barack Obama fans rejoice!

In order to “help merge social networking and multimedia”, Research In Motion (RIM) is partnering with pop artist Will.i.am to gain more traction in the consumer retail market. Will.i.am’s Dipdive online community and content that will probably include the famous “Yes We Can” Barack Obama video are set to hit BlackBerrys around the world.

According to RIM’s co-CEO Jim Balsillie, “Probably the two hottest trends in wireless are social networking… and the other one is the multimedia, which is principally portable music.” Dipdive is a great example where politics-heavy blogging meets music video content, he added…
