A hand held stun gun operates on a lower wattage range normally 7-14 watts and a Taser which actually shoots out two darts operates on a higher wattage around 18-26 watts. The Taser that Police Departments use are only 50,000 volts NOT 500,000 and you have all seen how well they take people down of all sizes.
