Verizon VX9100 gets real – LG enV2 on the horizon

If the LG Voyager’s huge external touchscreen isn’t your cup of tea, Verizon (NYSE: VZ)’s got your back with the LG VX9100. With a smaller external display and dedicated external keypad that flips open to reveal a full-QWERTY keyboard and stereo speakers, the LG VX9100 is a smaller, slimmer offering for text-messaging aficionados. Now, you might have thought that the LG VX10000 Voyager was thought to be Verizon’s successor to the original LG VX9900 enV, but then you’d be wrong. Verizon is apparently looking to bring in the LG VX9100 as the LG “enV2″ – a true-blue successor in both name and form.
We’re hearing that Black and Maroon are first up on the LG enV2’s color palette, which should offer a bit more appeal than the original LG VX9900 enV’s launch in Black.
From the photos it’s clear that miniUSB or microUSB are in the cards for the LG enV2, as is a microSD card slot. And, word has it that there’s a 2 megapixel shooter in there.
Hopefully, we’ll see Verizon launch this handset soon. Pricing is not yet known, but it’s safe to say that it’s going to be a bit more affordable than the LG Voyager VX10000.

i have the enV now. and my best friend has the enV2. i just had to replace my enV about 2 weeks ago. and some of the buttons are already not working and if i bring it in i get the enV2. i love my phone but it is pretty bulky. the enV2 looks pretty sweet but i heard that the camera doesnt have a flash. i take alot of pictures and the flash helps make the pictures look better. so my question is does it still take good pictures even without the flash?
target stores have the env2 on sale tommorow is the last day its $63.00 with 2year contract
The new ENV2 is ok. I actually like my old ENV better. I had the voyager for 3 weeks and took it back, I hated it.
YAY!! im gettN this fone soon…i juss have 2 raise enough money..lOl….and 4 ****: the rumor sux…i hate itt…i hav itt rite now..it takes the worst pix eva…the pix turn out soooooooooo blurry!!! it also sux cuzzz wen u r text messaging………….it only holds up 2 160 spaces….the enV2 holds up 2 7 PAGES wit 160 spaces on each pg..!! im gettN the black enV2…i like it way betta than tha maroon:p
i have the enV2 and i absolutely love it. it is sooo cool. who cares about the small screen. me and one of my best friend both have the enV2 and we love it. we are always txting back and forth. i strongly recomend this phone if you are always txting. i love the slideshow. it is really cool. i havent tried the mp3 thing but if anyone has tell me how it is!

Hey. I live in denmark and I wanna buy the Env2. But I don’t know what to do with sim cards, and how about when you text and call? Is it more expensive if I live in another country? (By the way, Denmark is in Europe if you don’t know)
