We can’t wait for AT&T to finally get real with the AT&T Vu (an AT&T-branded LG Viewty), and it looks like the nation’s No. 1 wireless carrier is preparing to launch the AT&T Vu in the short-term – with two variants, no less.

The AT&T Vu popped up on AT&T’s website in a list of TTY-compatible phones. Interestingly, the list includes two different model numbers for the AT&T Vu – the CU915 and CU920. The two variants of the AT&T Vu point could indicate that the long-awaited handset will be launching with and without MediaFLO.

AT&T Vu coming in two variants

We already know that AT&T will be launching their mobile TV service, MediaFLO, in select market with suitable 3G coverage to support the streaming TV feeds. So, it stands to reason that AT&T would launch a version of the AT&T Vu with MediaFLO compatibility alongside a version that does without MediaFLO.

Whatever AT&T’s got planned, we sure hope they do it soon. We’ve been waiting on the AT&T Vu for some time now, and with Verizon getting set to launch the LG VX9700 over n their neck of the woods, AT&T had better get the Vu on-market right quick (hopefully, that March 18th launch date will pan out).
