Ericsson brings Napster Mobile for O2 UK

Recently, Ericsson and Napster announced the largest European hosting contract for Napster Mobile with O2 UK.

O2 UK’s customers will be able to search, browse, preview and purchase full-length tracks from Napster’s catalog of over 5 million tracks and, thanks to the dual delivery, play them both on their mobile phones and PCs. In addition, if they’re in the mood to research new music, Napster’s recommendation engine helps users get new tunes based upon their taste.

Under the agreement, Ericsson will do all the work around hosting, include systems integration, operations, maintenance and content management.

Earlier, we saw Ericsson and Napster launching the music service in Chile with Entel PCS and in Italy with TIM.
