Digging through Virgin Mobile USA’s pro forma earnings report for 2007, we’ve spotted that the MVNO quietly launched a new phone – LG Flare. As usual, Virgin phones are not exactly positioned at the high-end of the spectrum — rather they are cheap enough and are considered perfect (yeah it’s questionable) for the first-time phone buyers. The LG Flare is in no way an exception to this rule, and for 30 bucks you shouldn’t expect much more. To be fair, this is the carrier’s first device with with a Spanish-language interface and as such is significant enough.
As for the specs, there’s Bluetooth, speakerphone, voice dialing, mobile web browser, dual screens, and a battery that promises to deliver up to 3.5 hours of talk and 170 hours (~7 days) for standby time… More information is available on Virgin Mobile USA’s website.
