Quickoffice announced the availability of its mobile office suite Quickoffice Premier 4.0 for Symbian UIQ 3 devices, allowing owners of the Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) and select Motorola (NYSE: MOT) (Z8 and Z10) smartphones to edit Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.
The new version contains many enhancements that improve usability, including performance optimizations for handling documents of all sizes, support for complex spreadsheet formulas and new, advanced editing capabilities — users can control formatting, graphics and text when revising documents on their UIQ smartphones. Also included in this release are support for graphical changes within presentations, option to customize the display of documents in each application with the new ZoomView feature, and Quickmanager app which enables over-the-air software upgrades.
On the downside, unlike the S60 version, Quickoffice Premier 4.0 for Symbian UIQ 3 doesn’t support Microsoft Office 2007 XML-based files. It costs 50 bucks and you can get more information from Quickoffice’s website.

UIQ is rapidly updating its product to enhance its quality and make application more user friendly. this update definitely provide ease to user and make its worth in market. they have to make it more wide for other devices………….nice one
