videocon Indian company Videocon wants to buy Motorolas handset divisionMotorola barely just announced that they’re going to spin off the handset division and already we have someone looking to snatch it up. Indian company Videocon has approached Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and for someone who makes televisions of all things they’re like Nokia (NYSE: NOK) in the 80’s and early 90’s with their consumer durables manufacturing capabilities, but can they pull off making phones? India is home to some of the best people working on software, does this sound like a winning combination or what?
