Symbian SMS Manager

The folks behind the popular Oxygen Phone Manager and OxyCube applications, Oxygen Software, released a new piece of software called Symbian SMS Manager to allow users to manage SMS and other messages on PC as “easily and conveniently as they do it with email messages.”

Symbian SMS Manager program represents all messages stored in a phone the way email messages are usually presented in an email client, providing users with quick access to Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent, My folders and Mailbox folders content.

The program displays basic message types – SMS, MMS, E-mail, Beamed (received via BT or IrDA), BIO (Picture message, Operator Logo, Ringing tone, WAP access point), reads and displays file attaches for MMS, E-mail and Beamed messages. It also can work with custom message folders, delete messages from your phone and move them between folders.

In addition users can:

  • Create and send both plain and unicode SMS messages to individual recipients as well as to contact groups.
  • Save messages in a file on PC and then download it back into the program and phone when it’s needed.
  • Export messages in various files: CSV, RTF, PDF, TXT, HTML, etc.
  • Enter and store message in any language.

Symbian SMS Manager works under Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) Windows 2000, Server 2003, XP and Vista operating systems and with most Symbian OS powered smartphones.

Finally the price – Oxygen Software is selling SMS Manager for 24.95 EUR. More information is available on Oxygen’s website.
