Quake 3 Arena ported to iPhone/iPod Touch!

We all know there’s a lot happening under the hood of Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s touchy products, iPhone and iPod Touch. However, we had no idea the CPU can handle a game like Quake 3 Arena. To be fair, it’s been a while since the popular first-person-shooter has been released, but it’s impressive nevertheless.
Anyway, we’ve no details who did this and as you’re about to see from the following video – they even make use of the built-in accelerometer. It doesn’t mean Quake will be more “playable” on the iPhone/iPod Touch than it is on a PC, but will certainly make the gaming experience more engaging. Enjoy the video!

Hah, playing with the accelerometer will be quite harder too.. anyway, nothing new. Quake 3 was done on the Dell AXIM PDAs a few years ago….
