Here’s one more reason why not to trust press releases. Brookstone is saying they are the first clock radio designed for iPhone. What about Sony’s ICF-ClipMK2, which we covered three weeks ago? Do you guys follow the industry you’re in at all?

Anyway, iHome iP99 will dock, charge and play music from an iPhone without sacrificing any of its
functionality. iPods will also do, of course. In addition, Brookstone’s clock radio also features an AM/FM radio, alarm buzzer and a remote that controls both iPhone and iPod functions and menus.

Pre-ordering has already started in Brookstone’s stores nationwide and online, and if you take action till June 1, you’ll also get a free shipping. The price is $149.95. Full release is on PRNewswire.

  1. Faisal Riaz says:

This device is awesome. but it could have been ever better if it was a bit smaller in size since the iPhone is quite slim.

  2. Mark A says:

Brookstone is correct. Sony isn’t selling their version yet. Brookstone is. Therefore Brookstone’s is the first to market.

No one remembers who was the first to come up with the idea of putting a man in orbit or who announced they would put a man in orbit. We all remember who actually put a man in orbit first.
