MWg to launch its Windows Mobile smartphones in Europe

MWg is gearing toward introducing its Windows Mobile smartphones in Europe. The company was previously known as O2 Asia, but after it was acquired by the electronics retailer Expansys, it was renamed to MWg. And now they’ll be introducing two devices, MWg Atom V and MWg Zinc II, to select European markets.

To be honest, we’ve no idea how MWg can stand the competition in Europe. Somehow we’re betting Expansys won’t save on promoting their products, but will that really be enough to gain any market share? We’ll be keeping our eyes wide open for May 8, when MWg has scheduled a press conference. Stay tuned…
