HTC Touch Dual passes through FCCAs much as we love playing the "Guess this model name" game with the FCC, it can get a bit tiring. The newest handset to grace the FCC's testing laboratories is the HTC NEON300. Like the HTC NEON200 and NEON100 before it, this HTC-made handset is a variant of the popular HTC Touch lineup. In fact, buried deep in the FCC report is confirmation that the HTC NEON300 is, in fact, the HTC Touch Dual.

The FCC filing pretty much confirms everything we already expected from the vertical-sliding variant of the HTC Touch. The HTC Touch Dual will feature a 400Mhz processor, 2.6 inch touchscreen display, 256MB ROM/128MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.0, and microSD card slot - all powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.HTC Touch Dual passes through FCC

And, contrary to previous rumors that led us to believe that the HTC Touch Dual would be launched on T-Mobile as the T-Mobile MDA Touch Plus with a 16-key numeric keypad, the HTC NEON300 filed with the FCC shows an HTC Touch Dual sporting a slide-out 20-key SureType-esque keypad.

And, most interestingly, the HTC Touch Dual will rock full-on HSDPA on US-friendly 850/1900Mhz frequency bands. So, the keypad-toting, vertical sliding, more powerful Touch smartphone from HTC looks to be getting set for some serious GSM data-action in The States.

Pricing and availability in the US are not available. We'll wait and see what carrier signs the HTC Touch Dual to its stable, but with HSDPA in tow, AT&T would be a good guess.
