Samsung add to DVB-H devices with SGH-P960

Samsung has shown off a “new” mobile phone, the “SGH-P960″ in response to the EU choice of DVB-H as the Euro Mobile TV standard. This builds on previous P9xx series devices, to provide a 2.6-inch QVGA screen and 3.0MP camera.
A number of device manufacturers support DVB-H (notables including Nokia (NYSE: NOK), Motorola (NYSE: MOT), LG, and of course Samsung), but as several sources have pointed our recently (including myself), the uptake hasn’t exactly been stellar.
However, the more devices that include a DVB-H chip (Nokia’s N96 was the last big announcement before this one), the better the chances DVB-H has at growing in to a commercially-feasible service.
Now all we need are a ton more devices, and some network rollouts, and we could be cookin’!
