Cricket goes live in Las Vegas on May 13

Cricket Communications announced that it will start offering its no-contract-requiring mobile phone and wireless internet services in Las Vegas beginning on May 13.
The company offers monthly rate plans ranging from $30 to $60 per month, which include unlimited anytime minutes, U.S. long-distance, text and picture messaging, unlimited text to Mexico, unlimited Mobile Web, directory assistance, nationwide roaming minutes. In addition, Cricket is also offering Cricket Wireless Internet Service, allowing customers unlimited internet access anywhere in Cricket’s coverage areas. The UTStarcom (NSDQ: UTSI) UM100C tri-band USB modem is available for $99 after rebates and a monthly broadband service plan starts at $35.
Cricket will be available at eight retail locations and approximately 100 authorized dealers, as well as online and via the telephone at 800-922-9169. The carrier will officially announce the start of its Las Vegas operations at a news conference at the Rainbow Promenade on Tuesday, May 13 at 10 a.m.
