iPhone no longer available in the UK; 3G version coming soon?

Ladies and gentlemen, he was a good buddy. Its large glossy screen made people around envy you (at least when you were in the hotspot area), and its media playing capabilities were second to none. However, he's not longer with British citizens…
iPhone, at least in its 2G version, is official dead in the UK. And even though we knew this is coming, O2 UK obviously wanted to make things clear, hence their iPhone page has a simple "iPhone no longer available" sentence. This in return prompts a question when will the 3G iPhone be released, and who will get the honor to carry it. Hopefully, we'll know sooner rather than later. June seems like a month to look forward to…
