Sony Ericsson P5 Paris caught in the wild

Sony Ericsson P5 Paris

This isn’t the first time we’re seeing the Sony Ericsson P5 or the so called Paris smartphone. Heck, we even know most of the specs. However, this is the first time we have a clear shot of the device. Scrap that, we have few images proving just how cool handset Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) will be releasing in the (hopefully) near future. The only problem I have is that ROKR keyboard which takes some time to get used to, though after a while that’s not a problem, I guess.

Anyway, as I just said we have more photos and they follow after the jump. Any comment is appreciated, of course.

1 - you don´t know (all) the specs, not the most important parts - processor, clock speed, 3d chip, screen…

2 - the keyboard is superb…anyone that spends more than 10 minutes with a P1 or M600 can tell that…

That’s right, the rocker keyboard rocks!
What I am less enthousiastic about, it’s the jack on the side: no convenient when putting the phone in you phone pocket if it sticks out from the side :(

That’s one good looking phone! But i prefer a full QWERTY keyboard rather then a suretype.

Anyone have any ideas on a release date?

It looks like a pretty finished product to me, why the wait SE?

Man I want this in my hands… now… about the keyboard, for a pc user this type of keyboard is like everything, I am using it on p1 and no problem at all.

However one problem yes you cannot dial something like 111-phone-key as there is no way to tell which letter is on which number. For this Sony should give an on-screen dialpad like some 3rd party application are giving.

When will it ever be officially announced?
