T-Mobile’s attractively priced wireless rate plans and hip mobile phone lineup have always made T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) USA one of the best values in the US. And, with the launch of the No. 4 US wireless carrier’s 1700Mhz AWS-band 3G network, T-Mobile’s future as a top-ranked mobile operator is looking good.
JD Power and Associates has just release their first volume of the 2008 US Wireless Retail Sales Satisfaction Survey. The survey was conducted between September 2007 and January 2008 with 6,634 participants. T-Mobile has risen to the top as the #1 US carrier as the US wireless industry as a whole has declined in overall customer satisfaction. “Overall customer satisfaction with retail service has steadily declined as wireless service becomes increasingly widespread, and as products and services have evolved in complexity,” according to Kirk Parsons, senior director of wireless services at J.D. Power and Associates.
T-Mobile took the top spot in the JD Power survey in terms of retail sales staff, store display, store facility, and prices/promotions. Sales staff and store displays were ranked especially high for T-Mobile. Alltel took a close second spot and Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless trails in third position.
