Fake SCNY mobile phone boasts 5.1 megapixel camera; Proves how certain Chinese company don’t care about copyright

What we have here today is the so called SCNY FE-230 mobile phone. The device in question obviously infringes Sony’s trademark, but unfortunately I doubt anyone cares much about that in the “world’s fastest growing economy.” The handset comes with a 5.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus, and if it wasn’t a fake, I could even say it has an interesting design. As a matter of fact, it kinda reminds me on some of the older Sony Ericsson models which looked more like digital cameras than mobile phones.

Anyway, in case you care to know more, the “original SCNY device” also boast a Xenon flash and an optical zoom. In addition, the large 6800 mAh battery should deliver tons of talk and standby time.

Again, I’m sad to report there’s a fake SONY logo (SCNY) sitting at the back of the device. Why these Chinese handset makers/cloners don’t start a brand of their own is beyond me. HTC is a good example to follow — a few years back, very few people know what they’re all about, and now they’re huge… More photos follow after the jump.
