Fake SCNY mobile phone boasts 5.1 megapixel camera; Proves how certain Chinese company don’t care about copyright

What we have here today is the so called SCNY FE-230 mobile phone. The device in question obviously infringes Sony’s trademark, but unfortunately I doubt anyone cares much about that in the “world’s fastest growing economy.” The handset comes with a 5.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus, and if it wasn’t a fake, I could even say it has an interesting design. As a matter of fact, it kinda reminds me on some of the older Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) models which looked more like digital cameras than mobile phones.
Anyway, in case you care to know more, the “original SCNY device” also boast a Xenon flash and an optical zoom. In addition, the large 6800 mAh battery should deliver tons of talk and standby time.
Again, I’m sad to report there’s a fake SONY logo (SCNY) sitting at the back of the device. Why these Chinese handset makers/cloners don’t start a brand of their own is beyond me. HTC is a good example to follow — a few years back, very few people know what they’re all about, and now they’re huge… More photos follow after the jump.
