Sharp PV210 Sidekick Gekko/Aspen?There’s some serious anticipation for the rumored Sidekick Aspen/Sidekick Gekko handset that’s expected to launch later this year. And, like any sanctioned handset in the US, the new Sidekick has to get the green light from the FCC before it can start doing the ole’ back and forth with cellular towers in the area.

And, as such, it looks like Sharp has already pushed the upcoming Sidekick Gekko/Aspen through the FCC as a Sharp Sidekick handset boasting a “PV210″ codename. How do we know the FCC label belongs to a Sidekick and not some unknown/unnamed Sharp mobile phone? Peep the “Powered by DANGER” stamp near the bottom of the label – yea Sidekick for sure.

Now, the Sharp (Sidekick) “PV210″ could very well be some previously unheard of Sidekick model. But, if we had to bet at it, we’d say that Sharp has already given the FCC a preview of the upcoming Sidekick Gekko/Aspen handset. If you can resist the temptation of the new Sidekick Slide Scarlet, the Sidekick Gekko/Aspen could be just around the corner.

FYI, the Sidekick LX was labeled by Sharp as the PV-250

So it would be safe to assume this will be an LX-lite like the Sidekick iD was a Sidekick 3-lite
