T-Mobile launches Fire Red Sidekick Slide as the Sidekick Slide ‘Scarlet’

Turns out that Fire Red Sidekick Slide that we expected T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) to drop in 2Q 2008 prefers that we refer to it as “Scarlet.” Sporting a shade of Red that should appeal to those that just aren’t feeling the more sedate Purple color scheme, the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide Scarlet is ready to win over the hearts and minds of Sidekick Slide fans starting today.
The internals are the same as the Purple-colored Sidekick Slide - the 1.3 megapixel camera, sliding display, and microSD card slot are all the same. Look for the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide Scarlet to price in at $199.99 with 2-year contract and rebate.
For what it’s worth, the “Fire Red” moniker would have given the Sidekick Slide a bit more of an “edgy” feel than “Scarlet.” But hey, red is red, no matter what you call it.
Not a bad color variation but I would have voted for Green rather then Red. I think a green sidekick would look sweet!
I personally like the Purple color of the first Sidekick Slide. But, Green would be cool too - especially Lime Green.
I did too. The purple shade with the black was a very nice pairing and I’m not even a fan of Purple. Lime Green would look sweet, that’s what I was getting at. Another option would be some sort of transpart cover. U know, so you could see the insides. A transparent green or something. I thik the transparent thing would look good on alot of phones, don’t u?
Well I think its cool I love red but why doesn’t the slide have a flash for the camera?

Looks like a good phone. i have questions though. how do you talk on it, like with the buttons under the screen. do you open it to talk or close it?
And is that the only theme it comes with?

Emailing and Instant messaging functions do it for me, shame about the 1.3 megapixel camera, what is that all about!?!?
Why is my phone not suppored when I try to down load from the web. and it suck’s that scarlet red has no flash on the camera
Green is smoken. I want green a lime green that would be bad ass for sure. well my scarlet red is hot. but green is melooo………. cool, this yet I hope to see.
