Pantech BreezeAT&T (NYSE: T) today announced a new simple phone. Made by Korean Pantech, the Breeze is designed to “consider the needs of seniors or customers who have disabilities.” That being said, this clamshell is not about high-end features. Rather, it’s a simple and easy to use phone, which prides itself with such things as 3 quick-call keys, simplified menu, large font, and clear and loud speakerphone. In addition, there’s also VGA camera and Bluetooth on board, as well as instant messaging software and an email client.

Commenting on the Breeze’s announcement, Pantech’s VP of Marketing and Sales, Patrick Beattie, said that Breeze underscores the handset maker’s commitment to all levels of customers. “By incorporating AT&T’s socially responsible Universal Design model, this product speaks directly to people needing a down-to-earth handset that provides easy access to core features,” he added.

The Pantech Breeze is already available on AT&T for $49.99 on a two-year contract and with mail-in rebate of $30. More information is available on AT&T’s website.
