Strip all the extraneous WinMo crap and use the API's. When treated that way, WinMo isn't that much worse than the other OS's out there. In fact, when you look at the embedded base of products that have done just that, the OS looks almost functional. Expecting a pleasant Apple-like UI straight out of the Redmond can has never been a satisfactory possibility. Seeing what HTC has put out demonstrates a very good implementation of the program features over OS model as opposed to the OS features is program model. Have been very gratified to see the iPhone ratchet up the competition and can only hope the rivalry spurs continued innovation on both sides.
