Will, again, WTF?!?! Care to do a bit of research?

“And, the iPhone 3G will launch in 20 countries worldwide on July 11 for $199. Talk about affordable – there won’t be any of those “it’s too expensive” arguments against the iPhone 3G floating around that we saw last year with the original iPhone’s launch.”

Ooh aah.. it is actually AVAILABLE in many countries!! How revolutionary. And OH AND AH, it is cheaper.. errr.. no its not: that’s on conctract and $10/month more on data plan = MORE expensive than the original.

Jesus, I used to like your site.

PS. NO I don’t hate iPhone. It has the most gorgeus UI around, no doubt about it. But oh please oh please, take a deep breath and get some perspective already.

Another thing, why was Jobs comparing it to the N95? The N95’s a year and a half old now. In the world of mobile phones that’s like saying “Look, I can beat up my Granddad”.

They didn’t really make a new phone, they just fixed problems with the old one. I was actually thinking about getting one of these as well.

Even the fanboys are sounding disappointed, but they’re more concerned about the lack of front-facing camera. I’m more concerned about the lack of decent camera, video, zoom and flash.

Sure the phone’s $200 cheaper but it’s still on those long expensive contracts. $200’s a bit of a drop in the ocean when you add it up.

The iPhone 3G is too expensive!

It costs 6 months more(18 months) than the contract on my N95 8GB (12 months). Plus, it will be a minimum of £100 more expensive than my N95 8GB… It was free!
