SlingMedia to demo its SlingPlayer on the iPhone at WWDC!

SlingMedia will be demonstrating live video streaming on the iPhone during the WWDC, which starts today. The good news is – they can do it. The bad news, however, it’s still in the “proof of concept” stage, meaning you can’t have it at the moment. But, that doesn’t mean they’re not working alongside Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) to bring SlingPlayer — or that’s iSling — to the market. Just imagine watching your TV on the iPhone’s gorgeous 3.5-inch screen. Sounds cool, don’t you think?
There is a problem, though. How they envision this happening? Only in the hotspot areas where there’s enough bandwidth for video streaming, or they’re shooting for the stars, to launch it on the 3G iPhone. Yeah, we want to see that happening. Please mr. Jobs introduce it today. And, if possible, make the screen wide-VGA. We’ll love ya’ for that!

As for “But, that doesn’t mean they’re not working alongside Apple”… uh, doesn’t it?
I thought Sling just pointed out that they still havent’ been accepted into the developer program. Just like thousands of other good developers.
Yeah, but at the end I’m sure they’ll manage to get in. After all, they wouldn’t work on the iPhone software for nothing.
I found this link it is a petition for Slingplayer software for the IPhone.

Come on we need this.
