BlackBerry Seawolf and Aurora in the mix

RIM’s product pipeline seems to be a leaky mess at this point. With the RIM’s BlackBerry Bold 9000 having barely gone official, the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) handset maker has already seen it’s BlackBerry 9100 KickStart and BlackBerry 9500 Thunder leaked en masse throughout the web. So, we’re it’s not all too surprising to see yet another leak out of Waterloo.
This time, we’re hearing two new codenames for RIM’s BlackBerry lineup. The “Seawolf” bears a 9110 model name, suggesting that RIM is working on a GPS-equipped version of
the BlackBerry KickStart 9100. The “Aurora” has been spotted and looks to be a member of the BlackBerry 8100 (Pearl) series. Confusingly, the DeviceID for the Aurora is the same as the BlackBerry Thunder/Storm.
So, it looks like the RIM BlackBerry KickStart 9100 will have a GPS-equipped sibling to keep it company – perhaps on AT&T (NYSE: T)’s network. But, as far as the Aurora is concerned, we’re thoroughly confused. We’ll keep you updated, stay tuned.
