Facebook goes native on Palm OS

By Dusan Belic on Friday, June 13th, 2008 at 2:24 AM PST In Applications, Palm OS

Facebook on Palm CentroIf BlackBerry and iPhone users can have it, so can Palm (NSDQ: PALM) OS based smartphone owners. I’m talking about the Facebook application, the one that allows you to poke and chat with your buddies while pretending to work. ;)

Facebook is now fully optimized for Palm OS. The native application allows users to:

  • Send and receive Facebook messages, and respond to friend requests.
  • View and post photos, right from a smartphone, or snap and send off new ones.
  • Same goes for video - you can upload clips directly from your handset.
  • Receive News Feeds, change your status, and get friends’ status updates on the go.
  • Browse and search profiles, post messages to friends’ walls, and send friend requests.
  • Open your Contacts and dial your friends with just one touch.

The application can be freely downloaded at go.palm.com/facebook or over the air at mobile.palm.com/facebook.
