NeuTouch - multi touch engine for Nokia N95

By Dusan Belic on Friday, June 13th, 2008 at 6:08 AM PST In Applications, Nokia, Technologies

What we have here is an interesting project developed by Bangkok, Thailand-based Sittiphol Phanvilai called NeuTouch. The same guy is a Nokia Forum Champion and is also responsible for the mobile YouTube client MobiTubia, which we covered in the past.

To demonstrate this so called multi-touch engine for Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95, the developer uses such components as paper box, acrylic board wrapped with white paper on one side, and of course the N95 with TV-out cable. The end result is stunning!

The N95’s camera captures shadows on top of the box and processes images as he moves his hand. Results are shown on a big screen TV.

You gotta see this in action. Here’s the video. Enjoy!

P.S. Before you ask, we’ve no idea where you can download this application.
