Mobiado Professional 105 EM and Professional 105 GCB

Mobiado recently unveiled two new members of its luxury family - Professional 105 EM and Professional 105 GCB.

Touted as the “evolution in the hardwood Executive Model series,” the Professional 105 EM combines hardwood, aluminum, sapphire crystal, 24-karat gold, and is available in two versions - Cocobolo and Ebony. On the other hand, the key selling point of the Professional 105 GCB is the good ol’ gold. The device is plated with a 5 micron thick 24-karat gold, screws are gold plated brass, while buttons are sapphire crystal, hand painted with 24-karat gold.

Using the construction of the Professional 105 ZAF lineup, the entire front and back of the PRO105EM and PRO105GCB have been crafted from large pieces of sapphire crystal, providing a modern minimalist look with a wear resistance second only to diamond. The PRO105EM and the PRO105GCB utilize a unique and hidden sliding battery cover mechanism (patent pending) with the battery cover being made entirely from one piece of sapphire crystal.

Both the PRO105EM and PRO105GCB are quad-band GSM/EGSM and dual-band WCDMA devices, and are sold unlocked. The price is not disclosed in the release, and I’m sure there’s a reason for that…
