Apologies for not giving you readers more lead-time on this, but I just found out that LG will be hosting an event in Los Angeles tomorrow to help drivers deal with the new hands-free cellphone law that goes in to effect July 1.
If you don’t already know, California drivers will be required to use hands-free solutions when using their mobile phone while behind the wheel. So, to make sure Los Angelinos won’t be skirting the law next month, LG has teamed up with the celebrity giant Erik Estrada to give away 1,000 Bluetooth headsets in Los Angeles.
The event, cleverly dubbed “Red, White & Bluetooth,” will be held at the Peterson Automotive Museum on June 19, 2008.LG will kick-off the freebie festivities with a press briefing at 11:30am, followed by the free Bluetooth headset giveaway until 1:30pm. Free Bluetooth headset-seeking drivers will want to make sure they get to the event early. You wouldn’t want to waste your lunch hour only to find that the limited supply of Bluetooth headsets have already been spoken for.
We’ll no doubt be hearing all about LG’s new LG Decoy handset for Verizon, and possibly a bit about the LG Dare, before LG starts giving away their new Bluetooth headsets. See you there!
