LG launching LG Chocolate 3 in Black and Light Blue variants

This would be a boring world indeed if handset manufacturers only offered their wares in trimmed in nothing but Black. Thankfully, we live in a world of color and fancy.

With that in mind, LG will be launching their LG Chocolate 3 in both Black and Light Blue trim. The second successor, or third-generation, to the LG Chocolate will be arriving on Verizon’s network and will offer customers the kind of music-centric features they’ve come to expect from LG’s Chocolate lineup.

LG Chocolate 3 in Black and BlueThe LG Chocolate 3 clamshell (flip-phone) is a departure from previous Chocolate handsets that opted for the slider form-factor, but it’s still a media-centric device. The external color display sits above front-mounted music controls - allowing for easy access to your tunes. The microSD card slot ensures that you’ll have plenty of music to last through the day (up to 8GB worth), while the 2 megapixel camera lets you record any memorable happenings. And, like any good Verizon handset, the LG Chocolate 3 can access the VCAST Music Store for downloading tunes on-the-go.

Unfortunately for 3.5G users, the LG Chocolate 3 will be limited to Verizon’s EVDO Rev. 0 network, so you’ll have to make do with sub-megabit data speeds. But, if a sleek, music-centric clamshell with attractive color offerings gets your juices flowing, the LG Chocolate 3 is a good fit.

Look for the LG Chocolate 3 to launch next month - hopefully with a Light Blue color option.
