Make your iPhone virtual keyboard look like it’s MacBook Air

Love the MacBook Air’s keyboard? Who doesn’t - it’s probably the best keyboard I’ve seen so far. Heck, even Steve Jobs said it’s the best keyboard Apple ever made, and you know he cares about the details…
Anyway, what do you think about having that kind of keyboard on your iPhone? Naturally, you won’t get the feel - just the look. But it’s worth it, or at least that’s my take.
Katak made this happen and now you replace the default iPhone virtual keyboard with something different, nicer, slicker… ok, I’ll stop here. The screenshot on the right side should speak instead of me.
In order to install it on your iPhone, you’ll need a jailbroken iPhone and you’ll also need to uninstall any other customized keyboards you may’ve be using. The MacBook Air Keyboard app is already available from Installer.app, via the Planet-iPhones source, which is part of Community Sources now.

This keyboard sucks.
1. The larger foot print makes it even MORE difficult to see what you are typing, especially in landscape mode.
2. The installation is broken. I had to attempt to down load it no less than 4 time before it would actually complete the install. And I even attempted it with a fresh firmware wipe.
3. The uninstall doesn’t completely uninstall the keyboard. There are times that it breaks the original keyboard. It leaves the keys either black or skewed so it not usable. And after the uninstall or firmware flash, I install the korean keyboard mod (which I haven’t had problems with until now. http://agaat.info/demo), it shows up skewed as distribed before. I am unable to send text at all because of this stupid mod, both in english and in korean and I am staying in kore for 3 more months. This should of never been put in the “installer” without a source.

I hate the look of Macbook air’s keyboard. The black keys look awful surrounded by the metal casing and the blue backlighting makes the keys hard to read. It’s fine to type on but ruins the otherwise beautiful design of the air.
