Sidekick Gekko, Sidekick LX Tony Hawk, and BlackBerry Curve Sunset hitting Best Buy on July 27?

If the usually well-informed Boy Genius is on point with an allegedly leaked inventory document, everyone’s favorite big-box retailer will be taking shipment of the Sidekick Gekko and Sidekick LX Tony Hawk limited edition handsets on July 27, with sales presumably kicking off same day or shortly thereafter.

The Sidekick Gekko will be bringing back the changeable face-plates and entry-level price-point that the Sidekick iD introduced not too long ago. And, with the limited edition Sidekick LX Tony Hawk getting some retail love around the same time, HipTop fans are going to have a field day some time this (or next) month.

But, it doesn’t stop there. Push email-loving, RIM fans will be happy to hear that Best Buy will also be taking inventory shipments of the BlackBerry Curve Sunset alongside those new Sidekick offerings (July 27). The BlackBerry Curve Sunset offers yet another color scheme for all you BlackBerry addicts looking to change things up a bit. We’re not sure which carrier the BlackBerry Curve Sunset will be offered with, but seeing as how T-Mobile’s Sidekick wares are hitting Best Buy like there’s no tomorrow, we’d say the BlackBerry Curve Sunset is destined for T-Mo’s airwaves.

Of course, as with all rumors, take this with a grain of salt (or whatever other grains you take). But, the timeframe coincides quite well with our expectations for a mid-July release of the Sidekick LX Tony Hawk.
