The limited edition Nokia N96 will look like the regular Nokia N96, but it’s going to come to your door in a sleek wooden box. You can get the details here, which I found via Mark Guim’s (writer/owner at The Nokia Blog) Jaiku post.

I really wasn’t going to bother posting this since the site reminds is a spin off of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, a movie I absolutely hated, but then I found out that all the money being spent on these limited edition Nokia N96′s will be donated to charity. I don’t know which one exactly, and not going to bother trying to find out since this site makes me want to tear my eyeball’s out, but think of it like this: you can write it off on your taxes!

(Not my idea by the way, that credit goes to iamnotdrtran)

    Kind of expensive for me.

You can’t write that off on your US taxes.

US tax law on charitable contributions requires that your money actually go to an actual registered charitable contribution, not a product that will subsequently be donated to an organization. Even if it were allowed, your charitable contribution would have to be offset by the benefit you received, ie your phone, which would bring you right back down to $0 as a deduction.

The only one that can benefit from that charitable contribution is Nokia as they would actually be donating the money to the organization.

is it same as the normal version i think the only different between the limited and normal n96 is the limited edition has a wooden box and 8gig memory card and the normal version donot have a wooden box and it dosent have a 8gig memory so look at the price difference the normal edition is 550 euro and the limited edition is 759 euro my god and in the website its written that there are two choice first to watch all the movies of nseries devices or donate money to wwf
