Sony Ericsson and Handango announced a worldwide partnership to bring mobile content direct to consumers on all Sony Ericsson smartphones — the XPERIA X1 and devices running Symbian UIQ.
Under the agreement, future Sony Ericsson’s smartphones (XPERIA X1 included) will come preloaded with Handango’s InHand client, using which customers will be able to easily browse and buy smartphone applications.
As for the existing Symbian UIQ smartphone device owners, they will be able to access Handango’s catalog via their handset’s browser (http://mobile.handango.com/se-ota) from July 25, 2008.
Commenting on the announcement, Handango’s CEO, Bill Stone, said: “The global content and application market is experiencing tremendous growth as more and more mainstream customers enter the marketplace, and with nine years gathering experience and knowledge in the mobile content industry, no one can touch Handango’s expertise.”

I am using SE P1i at the moment, this is my first Sony Ericsson PDA (Symbian UIQ), previously I am the Motorola supporter, especially the Linux OS powered device, it has a rich colour resolution QVGA touch screen and extremely clear multimedia video playback powered by Real Player and user friendly interface. But nevertheless it doesn’t support many usefull 3rd party software that suit for my business lifestyle, so when I noticed the P1i last year Aug, I was attractived by its beautiful design, after a few comparison, I was decided to buy it, I am very satisfied with its built-in business applications and multifunction keypad and email functions, so that I started to do more survey on the symbian software, I found that it is a very secure OS comparing with Window Mobile OS. Currently I am doing at lot of Internet browsing that requied by my works activities, so I started to looking my next PDA that suitable my needs, now I am targeting few devices like Nokia N810 WiMAX, SE Xperia and iPhone 3G, but this is very disappointing because these all are still not available in Malaysia.
