Location-based city guide and a mobile social network, buzzd, has announced that their database now has over 1.2 million venues across the United States with reviews, address and other features.
Now users in major U.S. metropolitan areas can answer “What’s going on around me, right now?” from trusted listings, alongside real-time user generated content. In fact, member-inputted venues are a growing segment of the buzzd service and currently account for about 10% of all entries in the database. Rest of the content is provided by buzzd’s partners like CitySearch, Flavorpill, TimeOut New York and Zagat.
Currently, Friday is the biggest day of buzzd usage, followed by Saturday and then Thursday. The most popular cities include New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami.
