I’ve almost missed this one. I’m not sure just how important this is, but since it’s Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) we’re talking about here, it can have quite an impact…
Microsoft has agreed to buy Portugal-based mobile software company MobiComp. Under the terms of acquisition, which is BTW Microsoft’s largest in the country, MobiComp will be turned into a R&D centre of Microsoft’s mobile communications division.
MobiComp produces software that can store such content as contacts and calendars, and has a “tool to enhance mobile social networking to Internet sites like Facebook.” Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is among MobiComp’s clients.
No financial details were disclosed.
