Nokia completes acquisition of Plazes

This was fast. About three weeks ago we wrote about it and now it’s completed. I’m talking about Nokia (NYSE: NOK) acquiring Plazes, a privately-owned start-up company of 13 people with its principal operations in Berlin.
According to the official release, by acquiring Plazes, Nokia will be able to “extend its context-based service offering with social presence and time-based activity planning features.”
Or to put it in other words, integrate it into Ovi. Can’t wait to see how it’s all working together…
