Pwnage Tool 2.0 Launched – Newest iPhone Jailbreak Solution for iPhone and iPhone 3G

True to their promise of bringing the world yet another round of iPhone-jailbreaking madness, the iPhone Dev Team has gone live with their Pwnage Tool 2.0 application. The iPhone Dev Team apparenty wanted to push the tool out in to the wild ahead of any official launch – which basically means eager iPhone jailbreakers get an early crack at the new jailbreak tool.
Pwnage Tool first debuted as the (arguably) simplest and most definitely safest way to jailbreak, activate, and unlock your iPhone. Pwnage Tool allowed users to hack their iPhone firmware file to automatically restore any first-generation iPhone and iPod Touch to full jailbroken-status right out of the gate.
With this latest iteration of the Pwnage Tool application brings a few changes to the jailbreaking scene. Unfortunately (and expectedly), Pwnage Tool 2.0 doesn’t unlock your iPhone 3G, so all you iPhone 3G owners looking to free your handset from your official iPhone-carrier’s grasp will have to wait a bit longer. The application will still jailbreak and activate your iPhone 3G, but it’ll be tied to AT&T (NYSE: T) (or whatever your official iPhone carrier happens to be). Pwnage Tool 2.0 is available through the iPhone Dev Team’s blog or from this mirror.
Hang in there, early adopters. The iPhone Dev Team will roll out an update to enable iPhone 3G SIM-unlock support for Pwnage Tool 2.0 in due time. Until then, iPhone 3G’ers and first-generation iPhone owners with iPhone 2.0 OS installed might want to give Pwnage Tool 2.0 a good once-over. Let us know how it goes, ‘kay?

I just bought an iPhone & had heard about Jailbreaking from the warning @ the Apple Store.
So I did a little reading about it & literally 3 hours after I bought the phone it was jailbroken & running fine. Thanks for the simple instructions. For those of you that are new @ this thing I would like to say that if you are downloading themes & wondering why the hell they don’t show up. Goto the “CYDIA” app & download “winterboard” the only app that I have had problems with so far has been “Customize” & the wallpaper apps. When I use customize I have to do a Hard Reset on the phone to get it to come back but it does come back. On the wallpaper app when I am browsing for a new wallpaper it lags & sticks realll bad & then after about 10 seconds it kicks me back out to the main screen. Short of that your programs are perfect. Thanks for taking the time to develop this!!!!
ok I have a simple question:
If I have a 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 jail broken and on T-Mobile iphone, can I use pwnage tool to upgrade to 2.0.
what is the process with out losing data?
ive got the iphone 3g and i cant find a way of jailbreak it, can any1 help me pls

OK question. Mine is Jailbroken but the new version upgrade just came out. if I update do i loose the Jailbreak? Also now when i try to connect my Iphone to my computer it says i need a passcode. I never put a passcode. is this because of the hack??

I need a little help i have some problems with my iphone with framework 1.1.4. 1) a Message appear Repair Needed ” Iphone Can,t Make or received calls”. 2) in Setting WI-FI Is gray no WI-FI . 3) Sound is not working and 4) Bluetooth is Also Not working ” 0000000 ” something like this please help me to solve that problem.
