South Korean mobiles repel mosquitoes

By Dusan Belic on Sunday, July 20th, 2008 at 11:32 AM PST In General

mosquitoSouth Korean mobile phone SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) is offering users a new service that claims to repel mosquitoes. Users can download a sound wave that humans cannot hear, but that annoys mosquitoes within a range of one metre.

I’m not sure whether its an application or just a song we’re talking about here, but I guess it’s the former as it costs $2.5, which is kinda expensive for a song download.

SK Telecom expects to sell tons of these during Korea’s hot summer…
